We were delighted with a very successful trip to the Castleconnell Sprint Regatta.
Conditions were great, the sun shone & our medal haul was impressive !!!
Luke Passway won the first race of the day, the Mens J141x then Aoife O’Connell came first in the Womens J18B1x. Sadhbh Cadogan, Rosie Giles & Alex Maritz came second in their respective finals in the same event & later in the day the four women raced together with Cox Elsa Lawlor in the Womens J18B4x+ and came 3rd. Paula Moloney continued her successful season with a win in the womens masters 1x, Paula also enjoyed a win in a composite crew 8+ with Cork Boat Club, the other Tralee members of the winning 8+ were Sandra Lambe, Tara O’Halloran, and Edel O’Sullivan.
Edel & Paula also won the Masters Women 2x
Daragh Morris & Billy Giles won the men’s J15 2x & came 1st & 2nd respectively in the Men’s Junior 15 1x too
Jim Breen won the Mens masters 1x, and together with the club chairperson James Morris won the Mens masters 2x also
Jim & James also teamed up with Galway rowing club to win the Mens masters 4+.
Tralee came second in the Men’s Masters 4x-, the crew included Conor Cuddy & Tim Cox, joining Jim & James.
The clubs youngest women came third in the Womens J15 4x+, Georgina Kennedy, April Kennedy, Millie Hayes, Chloe O’Sullivan & cox Elsa Lawlor.
Catherine Steward came first in the Womens J15 1x & Millie Hayes came 2nd
Grace O’Sullivan came 3rd in the Womens J16 1x.
The club is delighted with all these results and is excited to see what the club’s newer rowers will achieve as they build their racing experience this regatta season.
