The Tralee Rowing Club Row and Run Duathlon was officially launched this week and will take place on Sunday, April 23rd.
Tralee Rowing Club are hoping all fitness clubs, training clubs and gyms will come along and get involved and following in the footsteps of the O’Donovan brothers and “pull like a dog”
The Row and Run is a fundraiser for a very much needed new pontoon at the canal to facilitate the ever growing rowing club. Rowing has seen a huge increase in recent years in Tralee and it is hoped to continue this success.
The pontoon will not only benefit the club but the whole town and everyone is asked to come out and support the event.
“A new pontoon will pave the way for new water based clubs to hopefully utilise the canal and waterways bringing visitors from outside Tralee to stay in town thus in turn creating business for local eateries and hotels,” explains PRO of Tralee Rowing Club, Eileen Nagle.
“We are hoping that all local sporting clubs will come out and support us and take part in this unique fundraiser.”
